Every Day – David Levithan

Every day A wakes up in a different body. It has been like this for A from the day A was born. With no control over this and with no idea whose body it will be the next day A’s life looks bleak.

But then one day A wakes up in Justin’s body. Justin has a girlfriend called Rhiannon and A, in that one day of being in Justin’s body, falls madly in love with her, to such the extent that A will do anything to see her again.

Even if it has consequences. And it does.

The plot was amazing because it was so original and was very compelling. One of the reasons I loved the book so much was because all the bodies A inhabits are completely different which means that the plot is always moving forward and never boring.

It was written really well as Levithan made you connect with A and Rhiannon, as it was easy to sympathise the characters. I also liked that Every Day makes you see the world from a different perspective after you read it, which wasn’t what I was expecting when I first picked it up!

I rate this book 8 out 10 because although I thought it funny, sad romantic and gripping I didn’t like the abruptness of the ending!
